From the first day of any research project, we are already thinking about where the findings will land. We identify the decision-makers who need to act on the evidence. We bring them into the research process, not as observers but as participants. And when the research is complete, we sit with them to develop a concrete plan for what happens next.
We do not hand over a report and walk away. We stay in the conversation until the evidence becomes the policy.

Kaduna Teacher Reform
From Research Room to Policy Table
When CHF studied teacher recruitment and deployment in Kaduna State, the findings revealed a system that was failing teachers and students alike. CHF did not just publish the results — we presented them to the State Ministry of Education, worked with officials to understand the constraints, and helped develop a reform framework that is now being implemented. The research changed how Kaduna trains and deploys its teachers.
Community-Directed Health
A Global Standard Born in Nigeria
CHF’s evidence on community-directed health care did not stay in Nigeria. Presented to and validated by the World Health Organization, it became the framework for community health delivery across Africa. This is what evidence uptake looks like at its highest level: local research becoming global policy.
