Our Impact - Generation of Evidence for Change
From tropical disease control to education in conflict settings — quantifying the breadth and depth of CHF's impact across Nigeria and Africa.
Landmark Achievements
Co-developed WHO's CDI Strategy for Africa
CHF's Community-directed Intervention strategy, now adopted across 11 West African countries for tropical disease control, reaches millions of people previously unreached by conventional health delivery systems.
Teachers’ Reform in Conflict-Affected Settings
In partnership with IRC, CHF has contributed to teacher reform in conflict-affected states through the (ERICC) programme, generating evidence on access to and quality of education for 1.8 million displaced children in Nigeria's North-East.
Accountability of the Local Education System
A local education system that is accountable to the community it serves.
Capacity Strengthening
CHF has provided health education to more than 450,000 community members; trained more than 50,000 service providers in health and education; and mentored about 5,000 mid-term professionals and researchers in health and education.
Where We Work
CHF has active research and programme presence across 18+ Nigerian states, with particular concentration in Northern Nigeria — Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, Nasarawa, Niger, and Sokoto states.
